1.Nobel Peace Prize winner,Wangari Maathai.

In 1971, she became the first Eastern African woman to receive a PhD, her doctorate in veterinary Anatomy from the University College of Nairobi, which became the University of Nairobi the following year. She completed her dissertation on the development and differentiation of gonads in bovines.She was an environmentalist and a political activist.

She was the first African woman to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 2004. The UoN is now constructing The Wangari Maathai Institute.

2.Peter Kenneth.

Under the leadership of Peter Kenneth, Gatanga was declared the constituency which had best utilized its Constituency Development Fund money for the financial year of 2011/2012.

He is one of the few politicians whose politics are not tribal,He stands a better chance of becoming Kenya’s next president. He is a holder of a Masters in Law degree from the University of Nairobi.

3.James Orengo.

Being an experienced lawyer he has proved to be part of  think tank in the legal circles,Thanks to him and his associates in the political arena we enjoy a multiparty democracy.He is law graduate of the University of Nairobi where he was the student body president in his final year. He graduated in 1974.He currently sits in the senate serving Kenyans.

4.Ann Waiguru.

Ann Waiguru was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the first Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning on 25 April 2013. She holds a master’s degree in Economic Policy from the University of Nairobi,  She is behind establishment of huduma centres.

5.Imam Abdulmajid.

Fashion model, actress and entrepreneur. A pioneer in the field of ethnic cosmetics, she is also noted for her philanthropic work.While still at university, Iman was discovered by American photographer Peter Beard, and subsequently moved to the United States to begin a modeling career. Her first modeling assignment was for Vogue a year later in 1976. She soon landed some of the most prestigious magazine covers, establishing herself as a supermodel.

6.Robert Onsare.

A constituency representative,who is a veterinarian.He works at KEMRI if you planning pursuing   a veterinary medicine degree its one of the best.

7.Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kalonzo Musyoka graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi in 1977,He has served in many ministerial positions and that of vice-president.He also serves as Chief Commissioner for The Kenya Scouts Association.

8.William Ruto.

The current deputy president,He served as the Acting President of Kenya between 5 and 8 October 2014. He pursued  BSc (Botany and Zoology) from the University of Nairobi, graduating in 1990. He was also a member of Christian Union where he served as Chairman. He was ranked the best student in his class. He later enrolled for MSc in Environmental Science, graduating in 2011. He is currently pursuing a PhD from the same University.

9.Willy Mutunga.

Retired Chief Justice.Mutunga received a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi in the 1970s .Mutunga joined the law faculty at the University of Nairobi as a lecturer,[2] becoming the first indigenous Kenyan to teach constitutional law at the university level.

10.Nameless & Wahu.

Celebrity couple who are one of the architects of Kenyan music industry. an architect and graduated from the University of Nairobi.Wahu is a Kenyan singer-songwriter, former fashion model, actress and entrepreneur.Wahu is a former model and University of Nairobi student, graduating in mathematics.
